What A Beta? A beta is someone to give you a second opinion, correct your grammar, and help you through writers block.
If you are a beta, please post here giving me this information:

Beta Experience: I've been doing beta-ing for over a year now and currently I'm betaing for about six different stories in quite a few different fandoms.
What are your strengths? Spotting grammatical mistakes and missing words, fixing sentence structure, etc.
What are you weaknesses? I don't have weaknesses as such, but I find that in order for me to do a really good job beta-ing someone's story, I have to enjoy what I'm reading, which is why I tend to pick the stories I beta, or if someone asks me to do it, I read over it first. Most of the time I do enjoy what I'm reading - I'm pretty easy like that.
What types of fanfiction can you not do? Harry Potter. I've never enjoyed the books, and from what I've heard, the fandom is a heck of a lot worse. :S
What rating will you not do? There is no rating that I will not do.
What pairing you will not do? I'll read and beta almost anything. Although I personally don't agree with yaoi, slash, yuri pearings, that doesn't mean I won't read them...Provided they're written tastefully, of course. Slash and yaoi fics are probably the only "M" rated fics I won't ever read.
What other fandoms will you do? Just about anything. I know a lot more fandoms then I actually write for - particularly when it comes to anime and games. Just ask me first and I'll tell you if I know. If I know it, I'll read it. That's my policy.
Availablilty: I read fanfics for a few hours every afternoon, so I have plenty of time to beta, if people need it. I'm more than happy to help.

Beta Experience: I've been beta-ing for a few years now. Since I was twelve, actually.
Strengths: I am a grammar and spelling Nazi. If there is so much as a comma out of place, I suffer a nervous breakdown and can't rest until it's correct. (In private. To the author, I am always very courteous and sane. Seriously.)
Weaknesses: I am easily annoyed. If the author is one that takes constructive criticism as a personal affront, I'll happily tell them exactly where they can stick their story. I also need to care for the story and know the book/movie/etc it came from or I'll simply say no.
What type of fanfiction that you cannot do: Anything blatantly OOC or un-cannon (unless it's a parody).
What rating will you not do: I'll do any rating.
What pairing will you not do: Anything that breaks apart well-established couples. In other words, I won't do Bella/Carlisle, even if you pay me. Bella/Jacob I'll accept if it's an AU in which Edward never came back or a dream.
Other fandoms: Pretty much anything, provided I read the book/saw the show you get the point. Sometimes I make an exception if the story is well-constructed (...even if I'm completely lost later trying to figure out who everyone is).
Availability: I'm always on the computer. And I beta quickly, usually an hour. Two if it's very long.

Beta Experience: never for fanfictions but at school all my friends send me their papers to help them out before they hand them in
What are your strengths? Helping the flow and dialog sound natural and appealing. I can also help with gramme type things but I'm a horrific speller myself
What are you weaknesses? spelling!!!
What type of fanfiction that you cannot do? I'll do whatever although I'm personally not a fan of crossover pieces, but believe me I don't mind Beta-ing them if you want me to
What rating will you not do? Whatever rating comes my way I'll do
What pairing you will not do? I'm an Edward/Bella girl myself but I'm open to whatever pairings you've come up with!
What other fandoms will you do? anything ya need me to
Availability: I'm not on the computer every day but I'd say about every other day plus I'm a quick reader

What pairing you will not do? I probably won't do anything other than original pairings, unless I really like the story What other fandoms will you do? Harry Potter and anything by Meg Cabot...I'll do other fandoms as long as I know the story. Availablilty: About two hours every day.

Beta Experience: I've just started Beta-ing recently, but before I would edit my friend's stories at school and help my friends with essays and the like.
what are your strengths? I'd be a pretty strong Beta, I am an amazing speller, and can spot grammatical mistakes pretty quickly. I also am very good at rewording sentences if I believe it is OOC and I will fix sentence structures when needed. Also if you so choose me as your Beta, you should know that I'm brutally honest when it comes to work. I feel that it is better heard from me, than thought about by many other people.
What are your weaknesses? I don't really know of my weaknesses as a Beta. I guess one would be that if I am not interested, it won't work out. Also I have to at least have a vague idea of where your story plot is heading or I will be lost and most likely end up giving a few flawed reports back to you.
What type of fanfiction can you not do? I can do almost any fanfiction. Just PM me and I'll give you a yes or a no.
What pairing will you not do? I'm an Edward and Bella type, but if you have something like Bella and Jacob I might make an exception. I refuse to do anything that is OOC. If you try to put something like Alice and Emmett together it is an automatic no.
What other fandoms will you do? I can do almost any other fandom as long as I'm familiar with the story. I'm really big on anime so if you want to try one of those, I'd make a good Beta for that as well.
What rating will you refuse to do? I am capable to do any rating.
Availability: Whenever needed. We can set up a schedule easily and I'm pretty quick at responding. At bare minimum I can devote about 2 hours a day to being a Beta.

None What pairing you will not do? Anything ooc. The only exception I'll make is Bella/Jacob. What other fandoms will you do? A Great and Terrible Beauty, Blood and Chocolate, Tithe, Abhorsen Availablilty: Anytime but the weekends.

I haven't stopped to consider Fan fiction I can't do: I am really open to new ideas anyone has Pairing I wont do: still open to any Type of rating I won't do: don't care fandoms: anything, don't care availability: weekends and after 4pm on week days

Beta Experience: beta on other sites for different stories, a range of fiction and fanfiction, editing friend's work for them, 5 years experience with editing others work Strength: Spelling, Word Choice, Grammer (Just not on my own work!) Weaknesses: I don't really know..my own writing?
