Do you know "Vampire High" by Douglas Rees? It's a very ironic and funny vampire novel. I'd really recommend that. I was thinking about reading that. My mom read it and said it was funny.

I recommend to read Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith. You will be shocked and surprised of what happens.

There's Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz. That's about a bunch of superficial vampires in New York killing eachother.
It's pretty good, if you don't mind the whole 'and then I wore this designer dress with those special made shoes and it just looked fabulous' kind of thing. Very superficial. Interesting story though.

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova. Vlad Dracula goodness. Long but very, very good. Blood Alone. It's a manga so if you don't like that style, don't read. It's a beautiful story though, romance, fluff galore, and blood and stabbings and bodies and fangs and vampire assassins and homicides and malevolent spirits and...*goes on and on* And I'm surprised no one has mentioned Anne Rice. Or maybe I just didn't see it. I love Claudia.

Right now I'm reading In the Forests of the Night by Amelia Athingyer-Rhodes. It's different compared to all the other vampire books I've read but it's kinda good.
