I'm really happy with how the actors/actresses were chosen. A lot of them I really like. I am NOT happy with Esme though. She is nothing like I pictured. But I like the cast anyways. Escpecially Bella, Edward, and Carlisle!

Exactly! But this is about Robert Pattison, so... Doesn't he have an accent?

I think that robert has a cold look to him but also a friendly loving look. I think he is an excellent choice for the part. My mom however who has read the book also thinks that Summit made a horrible choice. I guess we will have to wait for the movie

For everyone concerned that Robert has a (gorgeous) british accent, no need to fear. From a source that is constantly on the filming set, I have heard that he can act with a perfect american accent.

He doesn't look like edward to me at all; but then again no mere human could. ALthough the way stephanie meyer describes him makes him seem ok except for one little detail. He isn't beyond beautiful like he should be. I know i already said that but it's true.
His acting skills are good, but i'm a little worried that he can't be as charming as he should be.

Okay, when I first saw that it was Robert Pattinson playing Edward, I literally said "Noooooooooooo, he'll be awful!" I was really upset, but then I saw the teaser trailer, and he was AWESOME! Now I'm all for Cedward... Unless they suddenly changed their minds and went to Alex Pettyfer. I would die of happiness then.

Hmmm, it's really hard to say. I think what really worried me in the beginning was the company that picked it up. All the time, you see Twilight being compared with the likes of Harry Potter in terms of how huge the fanbase is, and yet, none of the major Hollywood studios picked it up. I'm personally quite nervous about the whole thing, because rarely is an adaptation of a book into a movie ever completely about the book. P.S. I Love You is a good example - they made so many changes it was almost an insult to the writer herself - like her book's plot and characters weren't good enough to stay true to. The Da Vinci Code is another one. They changed the ending completely! Argh! I understand that with books 2 - 3 hours is nowhere near enough time to cover everything that happened, but I still don't think they need to change everything around because "they like it better that way" either. As for the actors, in those professional shots they had done for the movie (the one with Edward looming over Bella protectively) I think there, Robert Pattinson looks exactly like Edward should, and as far as his acting abilities are concerned, I thought he did a brilliant job of Cedric in Harry Potter, so I'm not complaining there. You have to remember too that these books are much more difficult than your average book-into-a-movie-project, because the Cullens can't be compared to any human being on the planet. No one could possibly be that beautiful outside of the books themselves. My main concern is the special effects, CGI, etc. Being a student who is currently studying on how to do all that stuff, I worry that Summit Entertainment, being such a low budget company won't have the skills to make them look believable. I don't know about you guys, but I was cringing a little when I saw the special scene they showcased at the MTV Awards (when James is "jumping" on Bella...COME ON! Was his harness stuck in the air or something - he was flying! Ugh), because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that they certainly don't come cheap. Twilight only has a budget of 60 million dollars...So, I guess we'll see how it goes. I'm excited for the movie's release, because I really do think Twilight is a book that deserves to be turned into a movie. But, like I said, I'm really nervous at the same time, because so far, all movie studios have doen whenever they've gotten their greedy little hands on the rights to my favourite books is butchered them all.

I was a bit dissapointed when I found out he would play Edward only because I kept thinking of him as Cedric from Harry Potter, but now I think he would make a pretty good Edward. But really, I just have to see him act first

Well originally I was rather flustered with the choices of who was in it, but now I've somewhat finally past the initial shock I just really need to see the movie before I can say one way or the other about what I think of the movie and about Robert Pattinson as Edward.

it took me awhile to get used the idea of Robert being Edward. i still don't like it. i think whoever was picking could have done better, but then again, it probably would be really hard to try to find an Edward in this world, especially when it is full of Mike's, Eric's, and Tyler's.

I was disappointed when i saw who would be playing Edward!no human could be anywhere near my Vision of Edward, but there are tons of guy's a lot closer than patisson. i think that he is a good enough actor to pull it off though so i can't say my full opinion till i see the movie! i do like who is playing Bella though i think she fits Bella perfectly!!!! i am very excited to see the movie and hope that they pole it off!! ;D
