So, I've just got the best news! I'm heading over to Borders this friday at 8 pm to get Harry Potter 7 at midnight! And I'm dressing up like McGonagall, gonna shut up everyone at the Snape debate, and trump the twelve-year olds who think they know something about Harry Potter in the trivia contest (How many staircases does Hogwarts have? 142. That's right. Cry little children. I've been studying and revising the six books for months with the same fervency some people read the Bible. So there!) No one would believe I'm actually above five years old from this. Still, last book. And I've been a hard-core fan of this series since 1998 when the book came out in the US. That's almost ten years. I'm gonna cry on Friday. Last book. Nothing comes after. It's like when episode 3 of Star Wars came out (of course I cried for two reasons at that one: 1) last one, no more 2) the lack of good plot and dialogue was painful).

Good Lord, I can't believe it. You are my new hero.
Go own those twelve year olds. I'll be cheering for you.

Thank you. And when I win I'll be sure to mention in you in my thanks.
Question: Am I your hero cause I'm gonna be making twelve-year olds feel bad or because ten years of my life have been devoted to Harry Potter that I will never get back?

You're my hero because you know how many stair cases a fictional school has.
And I also like the idea of twelve year olds crying because they lost a trivia contest.

That is so cruel. Liking the idea of children crying. I'lll be sure to take pictures.
Yeah, it is amazing that someone knows something like that, huh? Incredible. I also a bunch of other things but I'm saving them for the contest. Now all I need is someone my age who also knows their stuff. Then, I'd have competition. I'm still gonna own them. ;D

If I had any hope of winning, I'd take you up on that competition. But sadly, I don't have months worth of studying to help me.
Do you think you could post any pictures that might include small children crying when they lose after this competition?

NO, OF COURSE THE MOVIE WASN'T "THAT BAD"!!! Actually, I found it quite fantastic and amazing! ;D I totally agree with you, petaldust! I thought the movie was the best out of all of them. I thought the fourth would be the best, but actually that was probably the worst. Huge letdown But I am seeing the fifth one over... and over... and over again! And yes, Alcyone, I am proud to say that I have had the seventh book preordered for about eight or nine months now! My obsession really can't be helped (But I will say that I had no IDEA that there were 142 staircases in Hogwarts. You would trump anyone, anywhere in a trivia game! Those twelve-year-olds have no chance )

Haha, this is so great! And I thought I knew a thing or two about Harry Potter. You would soo beat me in a trivia contest. My friend gave me such a weird look when I said exactly how many pages are in the Deathly Hallows! I've also had the 7th book pre-ordered for a longo time. ;D

How many pages are there in Deathly Hallows?

784 pages which is 86 pages less than Order of the Phoenix which is, obviously, the longest book at 870
...wow, I surprised myself by knowing that.

Yup, I wished Deathly Hallows would be the longest.
