Edward Cullen needs no explanation But really, all the unique ideas Stephenie Meyer incorporated into her own world of vampires are fascinating and just plain brilliant. I love how the Cullens--especially Carlisle--have so much compassion that they're willing to fight their very instincts to protect humanity... And the romance, of course, is not to be ignored ;D

I love the series because I love vampires, and this book isn't like every other one that has the 'turn to ashes when in sunlight deal'. I can relate to this book more than any other book I've ever read. And the way that Stephanie writes is amazing. I can feel the emotions of the characters. I like everything about these books pretty much, hehe.

When there's something I'm wondering about as I write (I'm working on a story/book right now) I just go Twilight and compare to how Stephenie Meyer writes. I'm not that good so her writing helps me with stuff.

What got me hooked to the series? You mean besides the epic adventure, romance, suspense, and the all around hotness of the guys in the story?
But once you get past that...there's still more to like!

Apart from all the reasons listed here (the impossible but realistic fantasy and romance, Edward XD, the way the Cullens and all the vampires in the book are different from other vampires, the writing in general...) the reason that I keep reading the books is because of the characters. Not only because of how real they are (though that helps but because of what they think. I can put it into words accurately, but every time the book says something like "There was a flash of emotion in his eyes that I wasn't supposed to see" or anything like that, it makes me think. I cant stop reading it because I cant know what the characters are thinking at all times. That's what keeps me coming back for more. That's why I CANT wait for Midnight Sun XD!!! My friends read Twilight before I did. They told me how fantastic it was, but there was never a copy at the library and all of their copies were being handed off between other friends. I wouldn't shut up about the book at home and my dad and stepmom got me Twilight and New Moon for Christmas, 2006. I was, however, the first to read both New Moon and Eclipse XD I've read Twilight and New Moon both 17 (ironic?) times and Eclipse only three times, because one of my friends has it. Not that my story matters...

yea the series is definately one that got me hooked. i don't think i've ever been so into a book before. i love to read and its hard to find a good book that grabs your attention the way the Twilight series did. Only a few of my friends had read the book before me and they all said it was a great book and always talked about how if i read it i'd love it so i did, and what do you know they were right lol. ;D It was so hard to book the books down once i started reading i found my self always saying "ok just 1 more chapter then i'll go to bed" but it never stopped there i'd end up reading like 5 or 6 more before i finallly would have to force myself to just go to sleep! I got in trouble alot at school for reading and not paying attention to the lesson lol. i was like one of the kids you see walking down the halls with their nose in book (and you secretly wish they would trip and fall for not paying attention) funny thing is i've gotten so wrapped up in the suspense of the book i would trip over a stair at school or run into somebody's open locker lol. i think i'm the only one that's actually done that though. it usually something you'd see on tv that happens to the dorky kids. (even though i'll admit ima bit of dork when comes to how much i love to read!)

i have done the whole trip or run into a locker thing actually .....i have done both. okay i realize everyone on this site loves these books, but i have a nuts thing i want to see if anyone else has done. I lent Eclipse to one of my friends over winter break and that meant i had to go without it for two weeks. soo... while i was in the airport i ran to a self respecting book store and bought a second copy because i couldn't live without it for two weeks straight. hows that for pathetic?

I've done something similar. I bought a paperback copy. I wound up giving it to my friend's niece for her birthday. she loved it.

Bella's clumsiness reminds me of me! I walk into inanimate objects, fall over nothing. Yup I can relate to the book in many ways.

There are so many reasons why when I love this series. ~Edward is the bestest and the most amazing character and absolutley gorgeous ~Stephanie, writes the series as if you were actually there when the events are occuring rather than just reading what an author put on a peice of paper. ~the way that eveything happens in the book and how its adventourous yet extremley romantic all at the same time.
