Experience as a proofreader : During school everyone asks me to proofread their writing because I am very picky the spelling of words. I help my sister when she is writing a fac-fic. I am her personal proofreader. If I see a mistake, I tell her right away.
Why would you make a good proofreader?: I would make a good proofreader because when a word is mispelled, it sticks out at me, so I fix it right away. I am a great speller (well, that's what my teacher's say) and I have a job on my school newspaper.

Experience as a proofreader: I read a lot of writing by my classmates in school, whether it be homework or their personal work, and I always give suggestions and point out their mistakes. I always have to have the correct spelling or punctuation or the writing will bother me. People usually take my advice on writing so I suppose I make sense to them.
Why I would make a good proofreader: I think I would make a good proofreader because I usually don't have trouble revising anything I read. I can spell fairly well and recognize correct punctuation when I see it. I've always had As in Literacy class and my teacher says I'm quite good. Also, I want to be a writer or teacher someday so I think this would be great practice.

Display/Username: cindy Experiance as a proofreader: In my first year of High School, my English Class did a project on a newspaper. I was a proofreader, and I was also an editor. Lets just say that it was a big success. We got it published, and the entire school read it. Also, as part of my Community Service, I proofread essays and tutor children at the Salvation Army. I think that I am capable of being the Twilight Times proofreader.

Display/User Name: CullenCutie Experience as a proofreader (beta-work is okay): Proofreading term papers/reports/other school papers for friends and for my mom. Why would you make a good proofreader?: I'm really strict with using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. It really annoys me when I see typos, and it especially annoys me when I see people purposefully spelling words wrong (ie. using chat speak) or when people refuse to use any form of punctuation other than periods (which I see frequently). I'm in English 4 even though I'm a Sophomore, and I'm getting an A in it.

Display/User Name:Phoenix Marlowe / kineticasparagus Experience as a proofreader (beta-work is okay): Loads of beta work, I proof all my own stories and I proof all of my friends'. Without their consent, most of the time ;D Why would you make a good proofreader?: I'm a grammar nazi. My writing skills are four years ahead of my age, according to teachers, and I really do have an obsession with grammar and spelling. Typos bug me to the ends of the Earth. Seriously, I get anxious. And I'm willing to use American spellings Fee xx

Display/User Name: Midori Experience as a proofreader (beta-work is okay): Some experience I have as a proofreader comes from school and some comes from the internet. At school I edit my friend's essays and give them second opinions on what I think went wrong. Also I was the Public Affairs Officer for my NJROTC unit and we sent out a newsletter every month in which I was the Senior Editor. On the internet I send in many reviews for many fan fictions. I have sent in many reviews and offered to be a Beta to a few select people. Also I am working on a fan fiction of my own and have been reading and re-reading it just to make sure I have my story straight. Why would you make a good proofreader?: I believe that I would be a good proofreader because I am passionate about the jobs that I take on. Plus, I am very good at spelling and fixing sentence structures. Also, I am brutally honest when someone asks me for another opinion. If I think that the work is one of the worst pieces I've seen I will tell them.
