Rachel and Elizabeth have been enemies since they first met each other, back in 2nd grade when Rachel, who previously lived in Canada, moved to Utah, where Elizabeth had lived for her whole life. Now they're juniors in high school, still enemies, and they are both running for class prez.

Rachel waited for her friends to come to the meeting. They should be here soon... she wanted to beat Elizabeth, her enemy for almost all the years in school, so she needed a lot of complex planning.

Hanna skipped into the room. She rolled her eyes when she saw Derek with his headphones in his ears. She ran up quietly to Rachel and hugged her from behind, nearly knocking her over.
"Well, I'm here," she said. "Do you know if anyone else is coming?"
