We don't know what Alec's talents are yet, but apparently they're much more ...frightening... then Janes'. Should be interesting. Oooo! I didnt think that they could come much scarier then Jane. That should be interesting

I agree that they're cool. They have agood cause, and they're only trying to keep the vampires from not being exposed. Their only problem is that they're not too open minded when it comes to death penalties.

Jane is my favorite. Out of all of them I would be scared of Aro. He's the oldest. So that's something to be worried about.

Aro, Caius and Marcus are all approximately three thousand years old. Which one is the oldest of the three we do not yet know. Then, there are also the two unnamed females who could be even older than them.

Jane is my favorite Volturi, hands down. She is NOT part of the guard! She is one of the two females that the family picked up over time ( I THINK that the other one is Heidi, but I can't be sure.), and I know you probably hate her, but I like her. Does that not make sense? I don't make sense to most people.

No offense to anyone, but I despise Jane. She acts all righteous with her power and I think shes a little puny meany. She irks me, especially when she tortured Edward! But I admit she is the best evil character if I had to pick the best evil character. But, yeah I don't really like Jane. Out of all the volturi I honestly don't like any of them but if I had to pick itd be Marcus. Haha. I don't remember him saying much during the whole conversation in New Moon. That's why I like him because he barely speaks. I wonder what Alec's power is..hmmm?

They never come out. If you don't believe me, here's Stephenie on the subject. The six Volturi were together long before Jane and Heidi were even born. Out of all the volturi I honestly don't like any of them but if I had to pick itd be Marcus. Haha. I don't remember him saying much during the whole conversation in New Moon. That's why I like him because he barely speaks. Marcus never speaks. At all. He has never spoken since his mate died.

That's why I like him because he barely speaks. Marcus never speaks. At all. He has never spoken since his mate died. He spoke in Breaking Dawn. Remember when he was giving his verdict as to whether Renesmee should live or be killed? I wonder if he thought that she should be allowed to live, because he knew the pain of loosing someone you love with your whole heart. Poor Marcus... My favourite member of the Volturi is, with no doubt, Aro. The way Aro is able to...diguise his true nature is very entertaining. When he acts childlike, it makes him seem very vulnerable; a brilliant tactic, considering how lethal he is. I honestly don't think that he needs his shield-thing (Regnata). He's able to take care of himself. How can one help but to love him completely? Caius and Marcus are very interesting characters. As has been mentioned, Marcus lost his mate in battle, making him zombie-like. I wonder what he was like beforehand? Was he more like Aro or Caius? Maybe he was in between the two? Maybe he was different all together? As for Caius, has he always been so...bitter doesn't seem like the right word, and sadistic is too broad. I hope that you understand what I mean either way. Jane and Alec are...interesting, to say the least, although I am far more interested in the actual Volturi. When Stepehenie said that Alec's power is focused on feeling nothing, does that mean that Alec didn't feel the flames surrounding him and his sister? Maybe the fear made him numb? In any case, I find his power a lot more fearsome then Jane's. When you feel nothing, you are practically soulless; as if you don't even exist. Then again, he would make for a good morphine. I would like to find out more about the Volturi. We barely even heard about the Guard. Or the wives (what was up with that, anyway?). Perhaps Stephenie will give us more details in her Twilight Saga Guide... *crosses fingers* EDIT: I have since discovered that Aro is the eldest of the three. Even I can be wrong on occasion...

Yes, but before BD, Stephenie had answered an interview where she said Marcus did not speak at all. Yet another reason so many were surprised by the turns BD took.

She did? Stephenie mislead us a lot before BD. I wish that the Volturi had been in there more. It took a lot of effort to not just skip the non-Volturi parts.

the volturi are the "bad guys" bu honestly if you were immortal it would be an honor to be a part of that coven. I mean if you werent passionate enough to not kill humans.

And dealing with a vampire who loves almost everything, another that hates everything and a third that doesn't care about anything doesn't require passion?
