You know it's an awesome book when there's time for humor amongst all the action

I know, right! But I think after a certain point in the book, the humor kind of disappeared for a while...

When Ron left them?

Hmm... Yeah, that could be it. Omg, I thought that was one of the most depressing parts in the entire book!

I know! I kept thinking...if they're just going to moap around and accomplish nothing for the rest of the book I'm not going to finish it! But then he came back and I was happy again ;D

Same! I kept going 'come on ron, come back, come back, COME BACK!' And then he pretty much saves harry and destroys a horcrux (after much struggling) and I was like 'yayyy!' Then Hermione tries to beat him up and it's like what the heck?

I know, Hermione went kind of 'psycho ex' (to coin a phrase) on him for a while; thank goodness she got over it! They were so meant to be together.

Totally meant to be together BUT all i could think of wen ron left was YOUR SUCH AND IDOT but then he came back and i was like YOUR AND IDIOT STILL BUT YOU CAME BACK SO I"LL FORGIVE YOU
but at that part of the story there couldn't be any humor it would have ruined it

Ah, yes, they were meant to be together. But of course we had to wait 7 BOOKS for it to actually happen...

well thats the way they always do it like the series of unfortunate events (if your planning on reading them don't read this) WHY THE HELL DID IT TAKE 13 BOOKS FOR THE BAD GUYS AKA Olaf TO DIE

Well, if it happened sooner, there wouldn't be much to write about, would there?

diogenes-sinope.blogspot.com/2007/07/potterdammerung-mega-spoilers.htmlRead that 'rewrite' of the Death Hallows parody. It's great! Warning: several sexual innuendos.. Also, I liked the entire books, and I thought the timing for everything was perfect. The only thing I thought was unneeded was the "Nineteen Years Later" epilogue. It was nice to see what happened and the children. But, honestly, it was written like bad fanfiction. In my opinion, JKR isn't an amazing writer, she's average, but her IDEAS are brilliant. For example, if she wrote a book that was a teen-romance novel, it would never get published, if it did it would get pretty bad ratings. Like, how she made Ginny say: "That was the silver lining I was looking for" was pretty... bad.

Even though Harry Potter is my all-time favorite series, I do kind of agree with Dazzle. Reluctantly. It's just a good thing I don't read the books for romance! (I have Stephenie Meyer and Meg Cabot for that...)
--I do think she has a good sense of humor though!
And--I just remembered--she really develops her characters. Really well. For instance, Dumbledore and Neville, in this last book. They became real people, with different layers and characteristics. And how Ron left, but came back--and Hermione didn't throw herself into his arms, she shrieked with fury.
And Bellatrix longing for Voldemort's affection, and--well, I could go on for a while, but you get the point.
--Wow, I just read that parody, and I was horrified! It's just such a great book...I don't know. Maybe I'm biased. Ah well!

Very true. Like Kreacher, for instance... "Master, please... once more. for luck?" or something like that. That's one great thing about JKR, her characters are all real and you can relate to them. Beside Ginny and Harry. Ginny (the way I think has been affected by fanfiction though) is a Mary Sue. and with Harry there is only one word you can describe him as: Angst.
All her other characters are amazingly real... Her entire plot, her story structures, characters, etc. are most likely flawless.
